In a very tight game where the fear of losing got the best of any attacking opportunities, only Phil Godman for Newcastle and Ryan Lamb and Chris Pennell for Worcester kicked points with the score levelled at 12-12 with ten minutes to go.
The game was there for the taking and Lamb unleashed replacement Andy Symons on the half-way to see the centre break the line and set up Drauniniu in the corner.
The Warriors, who hadn't win on the road since new Year's Day 2012, ended a 22-match losing run, closed the gap on the Falcons to nine points at the bottom of the table with four rounds to go.
