London Wasps too Goode for Leicester Tigers

Andy Goode put on a kicking masterclass today as London Wasps beat the Leicester Tigers 22-12 at Adams Park.
In wet and windy conditions, the former Tiger and England fly-half kicked 17 points included two crucial second-half drop goals to take the Men in Black off the 11th place of the table.
Christian Wade's try inside the first ten minutes put the home side 7-0 up but Owen Williams, who started at fly-half in the absence of Toby Flood, put the Tigers on the board with a penalty.
Goode and Williams then kicked two penalties each as Wasps went into the break 13-9 in front.
The Tigers started the second half well and, when hooker Carlo Festuccia was sent to the bin, it looked like they were about to take control of the game.
But it wasn't the case and Wasps opened a ten-point gap with Goode slotting two well-taken drop goals while down to 14 men.
Williams reduced the gap to bring the Tigers back into losing bonus-point territory but Goode denied them with a monstrous 62-metre penalty.
As a result, the reigning champions drop out of the Top 4 being overtaken by Exeter.
