Leicester Tigers face an injury crisis in the midfield with the news that Anthony Allen is to be sidelined for up to three months with an ongoing leg injury.
The 27-year-old had surgery on an issue which, according to the Leicester Mercury, may have led to gangrene.
Dan Bowden is now the last fit centre in the senior squad with Manu Tuilagi and Matt Smith also injured.
