Leicester appeal Richard Cockerill ban

The have confirmed are to appeal the ban against director of rugby Richard Cockerill.
The Tigers boss was handed a nine-game suspension following his rant at the Premiership final towards the fourth official.
Following the outcome of the disciplinary hearing earlier this month, the Premiership champions admitted to be very disappointed while they would consider a potential appeal.
Today a RFU statement read: “ today gave notice of appeal against the nine-match suspension imposed on Director of Rugby Richard Cockerill following his exchange with fourth official Stuart Terheege during the 2013 Aviva final.
“Cockerill was found guilty of conduct prejudicial to the interests of the Union and/or the Game contrary to RFU Rule 5.12 at last month's RFU Disciplinary Hearing.
“Details of the staging of the appeal, which is against the sanction only, will be released in due course.”
