Billy Twelvetrees appears to have lost his race to be fit for Saturday’s first Test against New Zealand at Eden Park.
The England centre is still struggling with the ankle injury he sustained back in May with Gloucester and has not trained again today.
Stuart Lancaster is likely to turn to Bath‘s Kyle Eastmond to fill in the No.12 jersey despite the Bath centre despite being short of match fitness himself having not played since April 27.
Lancaster will name his team for the first Test on Wednesday night while the All Blacks have also been dealt two injury blows of their own today.
