SO THE Dwayne Peel saga has come to an end with all three parties – Scarlets, Cardiff and, not least, the coach himself – making no reference to the fact that he signed a three-year contract to start work at the Arms Park this summer.
Ignoring it saved embarrassment all round. It’s a demoralising sign of the times that nobody has seen fit to apologise to the fans. The next time Cardiff sound the trumpets to herald another ‘exciting’ signing, the more discerning might be tempted to wait and see if it happens.
