25 years of hurt and counting for Scotland

Scotland fans should look away now but this week – April 10 to be precise – will be the 25th anniversary of their last Championship title.
A dramatic 36-22 win over France in Paris saw the Scots take the title – although technically it wasn’t confirmed until England lost to Wales at Wembley the following day – and the observant among you will notice this means the Scots are entirely empty handed during the Six Nations years (2000 – 2024 thus far).

It all started to go wrong in their very next Championship game, their first-ever Six Nations fixture when they famously lost to debutants Italy...
