The Siam Cup is probably the maddest game I’ve ever played in. People think it’s just another derby match between Jersey Reds and Guernsey Raiders, but honestly, it’s different to anything else... it’s ferocious!
There are people in the crowd you’ve never even seen at rugby before. The whole island seems to stop.
You’ll pass the ball and suddenly someone absolutely cleans you out from nowhere and you’re thinking: “What was that all about?”
There’s respect between the clubs, but there’s definitely no love lost.
