Wales go in search of a path back to the summit

THE Welsh Rugby Union was forced to hold an emergency general meeting last Monday as a consequence of its decision to cull one of the country’s four professional regions. Two of the targets of the clubs who forced the meeting, WRU chairman Richard Collier-Keywood and the chairman of the Professional Rugby Board, Malcolm Wall, had already taken action of their own ahead of votes of no confidence.
