Rugby behind bars: How Italy is taking the game inside

Rugby is famously a game for men and women of all shapes and sizes and, in Italy increasingly, it has also been adopted by prisons as the sport of choice for inmates trying to get back on track and to instill discipline in their lives.
The Rugby Beyond Bars project, which is backed by the Italian Federation, has seen rugby introduced to 16 penitentiary institutions throughout Italy in recent years and one of the Giallo Dozza from Bologna even competes in Serie C of the Emilia Romagna regional championships.
