New Zealand did well to beat South Africa at Ellis Park last weekend, but they have missed a trick by not giving total support to the campaign to reduce the bench.
If it was 15 against 15 New Zealand would beat South Africa in eight out of 10 matches by running them ragged, but that Springbok bench stacked with big forwards means that the All Blacks cannot match their power. Run those big Bok forwards around for 80 minutes and it would be a different story.
Why New Zealand haven’t cottoned onto it is beyond me.
