Hughes the key as Hong Kong close in on their first World Cup

Five years on from leaving the carnage of London Welsh behind him, Glyn Hughes is an altogether happier place in his rugby career. The 30-year-old flyhalf has just made his Test debut for his adopted country Hong Kong, who are now just 80 minutes away from qualifying for the World Cup.

Last weekend’s dramatic 23-21 win over Korea in the final of the Asia Rugby Championship has seen Hong Kong book a place in the Asia/Pacific 1 play-off against Tonga in Queensland this coming Saturday.
