ON THE BLIND SIDE
SALE Sharks boss Alex Sanderson is trying to lure Lyon and France lock Felix Lambey to the AJ Bell Stadium for next season.
Lambey, who started his Lyon career in 2014 before spending a season on loan with Beziers, is open to the idea of plying his trade in the Premiership next season.
The 27-year-old who stands 6ft 5ins has played for Les Bleus ten times, winning his last cap against Italy in 2019. But he hasn’t featured since Jacques Brunel omitted him from his World Cup squad.
Sanderson is looking to remodel his squad this summer and has contacted Lambey’s advisers to sound him out about a switch to the North-West.
The Sharks have question marks around the future of Springbok World Cup winner Lood de Jager, above.
Jager has been linked with a return to South Africa next season.
JP du Preez, below, announced in December that he would be moving to Glas-gow Warriors when his contract runs out at the end of the season and Sanderson needs replacements.

Sharks skipper Jono Ross is also being linked with a switch to Exeter Chiefs.
