Bath back rower Zach Mercer has made a lightning start to the season under Stuart Hooper. So it’s only natural to keep the no.8 in his cynical side by asking him for three of his biggest pet hates in Room 101.
Another deadline is looming, and we’ve still not dealt with this yet. I’m not going to be drawn into whether I voted Leave or Remain, I just want to stop hearing about it. It’s been top of the news agenda for far too long.
TRP verdict: Don’t worry, this choice doesn’t divide opinion, not here anyway.
I like to play hard on the pitch but, off it, I’m laid back and relaxed; nothing really fazes me. I don’t like disputes and arguments and like a peaceful life. Surely, we’re a civilised enough planet now to resolve disputes without the need for violence and murder.

Living in Bath is amazing – apart from the parking charges. Because spaces are at a premium, the car park operators think they can charge you an extortionate amount. In Laura Place Car Park, close to the centre, for example, you have to fork out £3.20/hour, which is an absolute joke. Can’t they at least give some of that to a worthy cause, like helping the homeless?
TRP verdict: You can draw a red line under this entry, too.
