Star Tiger Toomua set to sign for Rebels

LEICESTER centre Matt Toomua is on the verge of shock Test recall in the Bledisloe Cup opener after returning to Australia to finalise his future and a looming deal with the Melbourne Rebels.
The former ACT Brumbies playmaker has spoken with Wallabies coach Michael Cheika about potentially playing in the first Test of the Rugby Championship in Sydney on August 18. Toomua is expected to sign a two-and-a-half year contract with the Rebels to reignite his Australian rugby career and his hopes of playing at the World Cup next year.
