Diamond upbeat despite Charnley project failure

SALE SHARKS boss Steve Diamond says he wouldn’t hesitate to make another crosscode raid – if the right player was available, despite Josh Charnley failing to make the grade during his 18 months in Rugby Union.
Charnley arrived at the AJ Bell Stadium in October 2016 as one of the best finishers in Super League but only managed four tries in 32 appearances for the Sharks before accepting Warrington’s offer to return to the 13-man code with immediate effect.
