The Wales centre was left facing a bunker review after receiving a yellow card following shoulder-to-head contact with blindside Gregor Brown just five minutes into the game at the Principality Stadium.
But, after an anxious wait, he was told it would stay a yellow rather than be upgraded to a 20-minute red card.
