An email drop and social media flurry confirmed the line-up of France’s 34-player training squad for the Six Nations, which kicks off against Ireland in Marseille on February 2.
Absent from the list were 11 players who had some role during Les Bleus’ quarter-final-halted World Cup bid.
We know why Antoine Dupont isn’t on the list – he’s given up his place in and captaincy of the XVs squad for a shot at Olympics gold with France 7s. It will be the first time that he’s not been involved in a Six Nations since 2016.
