Cueto: Farrell’s the man for World Cup

Mark Cueto believes England have mistimed their transition from Owen Farrell to Marcus Smith at fly-half, backing the former as the best man for the job in the lead up to the World Cup.
Farrell, 31, had not been left out of an England XV in which he was fit to play since the 2015 World Cup prior to yesterday’s match against France, and Cueto felt the best time for head coach Steve Borthwick to introduce Smith would have been after this year’s tournament.
