Grand Slam bid hots up with nine-try hammering

ENGLAND thrashed Italy to embolden their Six Nations Grand Slam hopes in front of a record crowd at Sandy Park.
The landslide victory means the Red Roses have recorded four try-bonus point wins in this year’s tournament, with a Grand Slam waiting in situ when likely wooden spoon takers Scotland travel to Twickenham next Saturday.
A crowd of 10,545 was in attendance at the home of Exeter, a new record for a home Six Nations match, as England showed their class with nine tries.
