Richard Wigglesworth admits staying close to head coach Steve Borthwick was one of his biggest motivations to take his current England post.
The former scrum-half has been overseeing attack and kicking strategy with the national team for the last month as World Cup preparations crank up.
He had stepped into Borthwick’s shoes in charge of Leicester in December but was always earmarked for a job at the highest level once the current England regime took charge.
