Neville and Wilson return for Australia in Auckland

Wallabies back row Harry Wilson

Caderyn Neville and Harry Wilson will return to ‘s starting line-up as the only changes for their final Rugby Championship game against New Zealand in Auckland.

Australia’s title hopes were effectively ended in their dramatic defeat to the All Blacks last weekend in Melbourne, but there remains much to play for as they look to end their 36-year hoodoo at Eden Park.

They will also be without Darcy Swain on the bench, whose horror clearout on Quinn Tupaea earned him a six week ban and left the New Zealand back on the sidelines for nine months at least.

Neville recovers from a knee injury sustained in the England series to partner Jed Holloway in the second row, while Wilson comes in at number eight and pushes Rob Valentini onto the blindside.

Other than those two changes the team largely resembles the side fielded last week, with Jake Gordon and Bernard Foley continuing their half-back partnership.

Wallabies coach Dave Rennie said: “It’s great to have Cadeyrn available and Harry’s been working really hard to earn another opportunity in the gold jersey, so we’re excited for both of them.”

“The side parked the disappointment of the last Test early in the week and we have plenty to play for in Auckland on Saturday night.

“New Zealand supporters have an expectation that the All Blacks win at Eden Park and we’re excited to get another crack at them at their spiritual home.”
