SOUTH Africa took control in the second half to power away from New Zealand and take a 2-1 lead in the series with one to play.
Tied 12-12 at the break, New Zealand eventually gave in to the Springbok forward muscle as the world champions came on strongly in the final 20 minutes in Soweto with Pieter-Steph du Toit growing in influence as the match developed.
