A wounded animal is often at its most dangerous, and so it proved as South Africa roared back from their Ellis Park shortcomings to level an enthralling Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry series.
Dave Rennie was looking to continue his dream opening in charge of the All Blacks by making it nine wins in a row, but the two-time reigning world champions flexed their muscles to dominate physically in true Springbok fashion, despite being outscored three tries to two.
