BRISTOL Bears secured a late victory against Harlequins to make it five wins from five.
Try scorers for the Bears included doubles for Rownita Marston and Lark Davies while
Sarah Bern also went over. It was the visitors who opened the scoring through Amy Cokayne three minutes in.
Bears went through the phases before Marston went over, Amber Reed’s conversion putting the Bears two points ahead.
With 20 minutes gone the home side were building in Quins’ half and were rewarded when Davies scored off the back of a rolling maul.
Harlequins responded via Heather Cowell and Bella McKenzie converted. Amy Turner’s side scored just before the break through Freya
Aucken to head into halftime just ahead at 19-14.
Davies went over to score her second early in the second half to level.
A solid scrum from the Bears led to turnover ball and Marston pounced to claim her second.
Emily Chancellor charged the ball down and scored under the sticks. McKenzie’s conversion brought the score back level with only ten minutes to go.
Bern powered over the try line off the back of a rolling maul to secure the win for the Bears.
