It had been 665 days since DMP Durham Sharks last tasted victory but their 36-match losing run finally came to an end last week with a 30-5 win over Wasps.
Their last win was at the tail end of the 2020/21 season against Bristol which has made the past two seasons extremely tough for the north east side, who have conceded 569 points in their opening 10 Premier 15s games this season.
But there’s a feeling of positivity now at the Darlington Arena and co-captain Mackenzie Thomas-Roberts was delighted to have got the monkey off their back.
