Misfiring Sharks desperate to sting Wasps

PREVIEW v Today. KO 2pm

flanker Georgie Perris-Redding is looking for a response against Wasps today having slipped down the table following three consecutive defeats.

The Manchester side have endured heavy losses to , and in recent weeks and hope to stop the rot against a Wasps side who are yet to taste victory this season.

Perris-Redding said: “We're coming off the back of three defeats against really well drilled teams, so this week the focus has been on recognising what we've done well in those games and what we can do better.

“We need to put in a dominant performance, so we've been working on physicality in order to get the win.”

Wasps have lost key personnel to rival teams in recent months with the departures of Bryony Cleall, Claudia MacDonald and Abby Dow but Perris-Redding still feels they possess threats that Sale will have to be wary of.

She said: “They have lost some key players but they've got some good players still there. Their captain Liz (Crake) is a fantastic player and got four turnovers last weekend, so we need to be on the top of our game.”

Sale have made five changes after their 48-21 loss to Bristol as Rachael Woosey, Laura Pennin, Jess Taylor-Roberts, Molly Wright and Vicky Irwin return.

Hazel Ellender, Emily Tuck, Tess Braunerova, Makeda Lewis and Sian McGuinness are drafted in for Wasps following their 71-0 thrashing by Harlequins.
