SARACENS went top with a tight win over title rivals Bristol.
A moment of magic from scrum-half Ella Wyrwas proved the key as they extended their unbeaten league start to seven matches – and ended Bristol’s.
Despite defending for much of the opening stages the Bears scored the game’s first try after 14 minutes. Winger Jenny Hesketh finished off a clinical move, a reminder of why the Bears are the league’s highest scorers.
