BRISTOL Bears made the perfect response to their opening-day set-back by recording an impressive 27-10 victory over Loughborough Lightning in the Premier 15s.
The Bears fell to reigning champions Saracens in round one of the new campaign but were not cowed by another tricky test as they hosted the much-fancied Lightning, third-place finishers last season.
