So at last World Rugby are getting a grip and taking steps to mitigate the increasing numbers of avoidable serious injuries in the game, or so they say. The World Rugby’s player welfare symposium held last week brought in a number of suggestions that it is hoped will lower the current flood of injuries, particularly head injuries that seem to have overtaken the game.
