Poppy Leitch calls for PWR clubs to work with universities

Poppy Leitch believes her England Students side can plug a crucial gap in the women’s pathway, having previously been overlooked.

The former Exeter and England lock retired aged 27 in May following repeated injuries. She then became the Devonians’ first women’s Under-23s coach, overseeing young players coming into the club.
Leitch, whose last England cap came against France in 2019, has also been working under England Students head coach Andrew Ford as his assistant this summer and is revelling in her new role.
