A LATE penalty from Evan Lloyd secured a stunning opening round win for Pontypool as they defeated reigning Super Rygbi Cymru champions Llandovery 43-41 in dramatic fashion.
In what was a 13-try thriller at Pontypool Park, the hosts grabbed six of them. Lock Liam Antrobus scored in each half, with flankers Scott Matthews and Ben Williams, wing Rhys Cole and fullback Ewan Rosser also going over.
