FORMER Wales flyhalf Paul Turner will step down as head coach of Ampthill at the end of the season after 14 years with the Championship club and be a consultant with URC side the Dragons.
The 65-year-old, who won three Test caps in the 1980s, joined Ampthill as a consultant in 2011 and became head coach in 2012-13.
He led Ampthill to three promotions, climbing from National Three Midlands to reach the Championship in 2019.
“With a heavy heart, I have decided to end my role as head coach of this fantastic club.
