Tributes flowed for former player Eddie Butler as Pontypool beat promotion-rivals Neath at Pontypool Park.
Deon Smith and Nicky Griffiths opened up the scoring for their sides, before fly-halves Steff Williams and Matthew Jarvis traded penalties, giving Neath a 13-10 lead at half-time.
The second half didn’t let supporters down. Two quick tries from Amosa Nova and Ieuean Jones provided Pontypool with a 24-13 lead. Neath refused to go away and two tries for Sion Crocker put them in the lead.
