THE Drovers chalked up their fifth consecutive victory in the to maintain one of their best league starts since 2012.

With not in action, took the opportunity to climb into second place behind another unbeaten side in .

RGC were stunned by the first half performance of the Drovers, who scored four tries with swift back play and powerful finishing by their well drilled forwards, led by skipper and lock Jack Jones.

Tries from hooker Dafydd Hughes, scrumhalf Lee Rees, prop Jamie Hughes and wing Aaron Warren and three conversions by fullback Jack Maynard made it 26-0 at half time.

The North Walians had little possession and when they did build up some continuity, they were denied by clever covering from the impressive Maynard.

RGC came back well after their first-half battering and soon got a try by quick wing Dafydd Williams before lock Joe Powell barged through for the Drovers.

Centre Harri Evans got a second RGC try, converted by Dion Jones, before a blind side probe by Dafydd Land put Dafydd Hughes in for the hooker's second try.
