JOHAN Ackermann’s Bulls ran in eight tries in the Loftus sun to push their play-off claims with Willie le Roux pulling the strings at fly-half.
He scored the opening try after a break by centre Canan Moodie and then converted. Moodie grabbed the second after an inside break by Sergeal Petersen. Le Roux again added the extras.
Winger Jacopo Trulla intercepted a Moodie pass to put Zebre on the board but the Bulls hit back through winger Cheswill Jooste.
The bonus point came in the 30th minute as Petersen rounded off another great move, with Le Roux converting.
Giampietro Ribaldi scored Zebre’s second on the stroke of half-time to make it 26-12.
Zebre started the second half on the front foot, but the Bulls were able to hold them out before extending their lead with another long-range try by Ruan Vermaak. Further tries followed for Cameron Hanekom, Harold Vorster, and Jeandre Rudolph, while Zebre scored through Thomas Dominguez.
