THE Lions claimed a deserved victory over the Stormers to move up to seventh and strengthen their playoff push.
Stormers lost just their third match of the season and fell behind when flanker Sibabalwe Mahashe powered over, with Chris Smith on hand to add the extras. Three minutes later, Henco van Wyk finished a sharp attacking move to extend the lead, Smith again converting for a 14-0 advantage.
