GLASGOW withstood an fierce fightback at the start of the second half to take control and get the win.
In the first of two 1872 Cup fixtures between the sides, Glasgow looked to be in charge when they were 17-10 up at the interval.
Edinburgh reacted by bringing on physical forwards Boan Venter and Magnus Bradbury and a converted try from the former levelled things up in the 47th minute.
