Bedford Blues second row Alex Woolford believes his side have put themselves in a strong position approaching the halfway point of the season, but insists there are a couple of gears still to find.

Mike Rayer’s Blues sat third in the table after eight rounds, backing up last season’s highest-ever league finish of second, and 33-year-old Woolford says the group made a decision not to let 2024-25’s success dictate their approach, believing there’s much more to come.
