Ealing attack coach David Johnston said: “We had a couple of really good performances today; outside centre Geordie Gwynn from the academy had an excellent performance, second row George Shaw, George Worboys at 10, these guys are really helping to push the standard and break into the first group which left a great impression going into pre-season.”
Trailfinders raced into an early lead after only two minutes through their outside centre Gwynn who dotted down to the right of the posts following a break from wing Michael Dykes. Fly-half Worboys converted.

The visitors doubled their lead just minutes later as hooker Matt Cornish sat at the back of a lineout drive before diving over.
Hartpury scored their only points of the first half through wing Jack Johnson who chased a kick through from fly half Harry Bazalgette. Bazalgette’s conversion sailed wide of the left upright.
Ealing full-back Max Bodilly was sin-binned for tackling Johnson off the ball in his attempt to prevent the score.

Five minutes after restoring their full complement, Ealing scored their bonus point try after a gift from scrum-half Mike Austin was picked off by Dykes deep inside the Hartpury 22. Worboys was perfect from the tee in the first 40 minutes, converting four from four, taking a 28-5 lead into the break.
Ealing started the second half in a similar style, scoring their fifth try five minutes after the break as they worked the phases allowing Bodilly an easy score to the right of the posts.
The hosts showed their resilience as inside centre Max Knight dotted down after a good spell inside the Ealing five-metres in which Knight found and exploited a gap to the left of the posts.
Cornish scored his second of the afternoon as he received the ball in the corner from inside centre Francis Moore and the hooker made no mistake in the finish.
Ealing capped their performance off in style with a seventh try coming from substitute Tobi Wilson who finished off a powerful break from Bridge with a straightforward run-in.
