I’m honoured, says Sir Dicky with NY award

Cornish Pirates owner Sir Richard ‘Dicky’ Evans says he is ‘surprised’ and ‘honoured’ to be awarded a knighthood in the New Year Honours.
Kenya-based Evans has been recognised for his services to business, sport and charity both in Cor nwall and Kenya.
“I couldn’t have been more surprised or more honoured,” Evans said. “It is impossible to thank everyone individually for the help that they have given me over the years... I must however single out one person. Thank you to my wonderful and eter nally beautiful wife who will now be known, entirely appropriately, as Lady Evans.”
