Ollie Thomas backs youth at Birmingham Moseley ahead of National One campaign

Ollie Thomas is relishing the chance to lead Birmingham Moseley after helping the club escape relegation last season, with the former fly-half embracing a younger squad and ambitious links with Worcester Warriors and Gloucester.

In their hour of need, Birmingham Moseley turned to a local hero and he is now aiming for significant National One progress during the coming season.
Ollie Thomas has been part of the furniture at Billesley Common – and before it the Reddings – from before he could walk.
His father Alan was a flying Welsh winger for the Red-and-Blacks in their glory days of the 1970s and 80s.
His 300-plus appearances included the 1979 John Player Cup final and he then went on to be the club’s long-term groundsman.
