Markus makes his mark to hit 250 milestone

Markus Burcham made his 250th appearance for Blackheath last Saturday in their 21-17 win over Richmond and continues to enjoy playing under influential head coach James Shanahan.
The oldest continually played fixture, dating back to 1864 and first played on Richmond Green, also marked Burcham’s milestone – a feat achieved by only two others in the club’s modern era.
Burcham, 33, was pleasantly surprised and humbled by the spotlight shining on his achievement. But what brought him the greatest satisfaction was securing a win over Richmond for the first time.
