bounced back from fivestraight defeats to beat the leaders in style.

The hosts set their stall out early, attacking from deep, but two missed five-metre lineouts meant it was the visitors who scored first, via Ben Atkins, after a series of pens had given them position.

The Lions levelled via Aston Gradwick-Light after 25 minutes, before taking the lead shortly after when Geordie Irvine crossed from range.

The Lions took control of the contest when No.8 Nick Cairns dummied and scored. Dan Lewis converted all three for a 21-7 lead.

With the final play of the first half, the Lions kicked to a corner, but again the line-out failed and the Rams broke to score via Zach Clow.

The Rams dominated the early exchanges of the second half and were rewarded ten minutes after the break when Jack Rossiter crossed to cut the deficit. The visitors took the lead minutes later when Max Hayman finished a driving line-out.

It looked as though the Lions would come up short, especially when Cairns got sinbinned, but with two minutes left, James Stubbs offloaded to Jake Sterland in his own half who then fed Dan Lewis to run it in and seal a dramatic victory.
