Frost far too hot as hosts turn up heat

CAMBRIDGE blew away Chinnor in a superlative second half inspired by star man Kieran Frost.

But it was the visitors who started the game the stronger, with Fred Tuilagi and Sam Yawayawa dominant.

Having weathered the storm, though, Joe Green broke from deep and won a scrum for his side near the Chinnor line.

The visitors eventually failed to clear, with Gareth Baxter fielding his own charge-down and putting Ben Brownlie over for his 20th try of the season. Harry Johnston clipped the upright from out wide.

Chinnor got on the board through a James Bourton penalty.

But after another 60m break, Kwaku Asiedu powered through for try number two.

At 12-3 at the break it looked as though it might not be enough, but when Brownlie added his second of the afternoon from another perfectly executed driving maul, the visitors began to creak.

And the bonus point score, as Matt Dawson rolled over the line to dot down, broke them.

Dawson back-doored to Jake McCloud, who did likewise to Joe Tarrant for number five.

Scant minutes later Tarrant was gleefully in again for number six and converted his own score.

There was time, still, for a seventh, as Jake Mc-Cloud stormed through for the coup de grace and even Asiedu’s unlikely – and failed – conversion attempt from in front of the posts only added to the smiles all round.
