Taunton Titans…..35
A RECORD crowd of 1,200 saw Taunton Titans get the better of Plymouth Albion in a superb game.
The home side always held the upper hand after taking the lead ten minutes into the game. A penalty was kicked to the corner and, from the line-out, the Taunton forwards drove at the Plymouth line. Eventually the ball was spun out wide for winger Aron Struminski to score, with Jack Walsh converting.
Connor Eastgate hit back with a penalty on 20 minutes, but Taunton replied with a try by Lewis Webb on 26 minutes, which Walsh again converted.
After another Eastgate penalty, Toby East scored under the posts for Taunton and again Walsh converted.
Shea Cornish reduced the arrears with a try before the break and Plymouth struck again three minutes into the second half through Max Norey, with Eastgate converting.
The Titans were soon back on the scoresheet with prop Isaac Dalton scoring a try and Walsh converted to restore the ten-point lead. Within two minutes, Daniel Pullinger-Ham crossed for Plymouth and Eastgate converted.
However, Walsh went over for the final try and his conversion kept Albion at arm’s length.
