SALE FC made it five straight wins as a determined defensive display kept Birmingham Moseley scoreless.
Defences were on top for most of the first half as both teams had opportunities, but struggled to convert them into points as wind and heavy rain dogged Heywood Road.
It took until the 27th minute for the hosts to get off the mark, Dan Birchall breaking through the Moseley line to cross and James Robins adding the conversion.
