THE top-of-the-table clash resulted in Ampthill’s biggest crowd of the season and they notched an all-important win over Old Elthamians.
Going into the game, both sides were chasing promotion – equal on points and separated only by virtue of OE’s having won one more game. It was Amps who ultimately ran out comfortable victors and head coach Paul Turner was ecstatic with his team.
