Esher’s storming reply earns draw

JAMES Pritchard’s late penalty denied Esher a stunning comeback win. Esher scored 19 secondhalf points before Pritchard snatched the draw for Ampthill.
Ampthill asserted themselves quickly, Pritchard finding space to score after three minutes. Esher fought back and a ten-metre maul was finished by Karl Furey, while Thomas James soon secured the lead.
Ampthill hit back hard, and were rewarded when Nigel Baker found space from driving play. Driving play then allowed Billy Johnson to score again.
