IT wasn’t pretty, but Hartpury produced win 27 of their, so far, spotless season despite being pushed all the way by an energetic Students side.
Mat Protheroe scored a stunning hat-trick with a final tally of six tries to five correctly suggesting this was an open and free-flowing encounter.
Hartpury had to rely on moments of individual inspiration to get over the line.
